Manchin, Capito Introduce Legislation to Rein in EPA Jurisdiction on Water Sources

U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today joined a bipartisan group of senators to introduce the Water Quality Protection Act, which addresses long-standing concerns regarding a rule proposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) to redefine the “waters of the U.S.” definition under the Clean Water Act (CWA). The proposed rule stems from a draft guidance document on “waters of the U.S.” that was originally released in 2011

Manchin and Capito Announce More Than $1 Million to Support Family Health Care Services

Today, U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced $1,009,786 in federal funding to the West Virginia Office of Maternal and Child Health Services (OMCHS). The funding will help support the various programs offered under OMCHS with the goal of building better health care infrastructure in the state. The organization specializes in serving the needs of women, infants, children, families, and children with special health care needs.

West Virginia Becomes 22nd State to Prohibit PLA Mandates

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and ABC of West Virginia (ABCWV) today applauded Gov.
