Manchin Announces $300k For Disability Housing Program

Washington, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced the Northern West Virginia Center for Independent Living will receive a $300,000 Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Northern West Virginia Center for Independent Living is an advocacy resource center for people with disabilities and the communities in which they live.

“In West Virginia, we have a long standing tradition of neighbors helping neighbors. I’m pleased to see this funding will support Northern West Virginia Center for Independent Living and their mission to eliminate housing discrimination and create equal housing opportunities,” Senator Manchin said.
